Profile
Brian has served as the Global Head of Tax at HP since 2020. Before taking over the Tax function, Brian served in several roles within HP Tax. He was the Head of Planning and formerly led HP’s tax controversy work with the IRS. Prior to joining HP, Brian was a tax associate at Caplin & Drysdale in Washington, DC. Brian is active in the tax community. He is involved with numerous external tax organizations, including the Silicon Valley Tax Directors Group and the Tax Executives Institute. Brian is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Diego Law School, where he teaches corporate taxation. Brian has a JD degree from Harvard Law School and a BA in Business Economics and Accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a member of the California Bar and a Certified Public Accountant (Inactive) in California
