Christine Herrera is the Vice President, Tax for The J. M. Smucker Company, based in Northeast Ohio. Christine’s tax career began in 1998 in PwC’s Toronto corporate tax practice. Christine joined Aber Diamond Corporation in 2003, developing tax processes supporting the company’s end-to-end diamond operation (from its mine in Northern Canada to its distribution channel in Belgium). Christine joined Smucker’s Toronto office in 2007, as Tax Manager for the Canadian division – a role in which transfer pricing operations and controversy were at the forefront. Christine relocated to Smucker’s Ohio headquarters in 2014, and has led the Corporate Tax function since 2019. Christine is a CPA in Ontario and Illinois, and also serves as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee of the Urban League of Greater Cleveland.
