Background

Craig is a Managing Director in KPMG’s Silicon Valley transfer pricing practice. He has over 15 years of experience advising multinationals on a diverse array of global transfer pricing planning, valuation, documentation and restructuring issues across the high-tech (enterprise software, social media, semiconductors) sector. In addition to his core U.S. experience, Craig spent two years in Spain supporting primarily U.S. multinationals to manage their OECD-related transfer pricing matters.

Professional and Industry Experience

Craig’s relevant recent project experience includes:

Assisting multinationals to determine and document IP valuation positions in connection with post-acquisition integrations and other internal restructurings

Supporting early-stage technology firms to develop tax-efficient intangible property (“IP”) holding structures (cost sharing, etc.), including preparation of arm’s length valuations of IP under various methodologies

Providing economic analytical support to KPMG’s transfer pricing dispute resolution team in APAs and MAP cases

Craig has supported the transfer pricing team of a large multinational to establish foreign in-house banking structures, where his role included coordinating the design and implementation of new TP policies and agreements for new foreign treasury center with internal stakeholders (tax, legal, accounting, treasury) as well as external advisors

Other: extensive experience with transfer pricing documentation, country-by-country reporting and Pillar 2 alignment, and intercompany agreement preparation/review
