Ala is a Director in PwC’s Forensics practice, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. She is a qualified accountant (FCCA) and certified fraud examiner (CFE) and has extensive experience across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) in high profile and highly sensitive corporate investigations, commercial litigations and international arbitrations and is particularly specialized in onshore Court matters. Her experience covers a broad range of industries including automative, private equity, satellite communication, aviation, maritime, chemicals, media, financial services, healthcare, education, construction and FMCG.

Ala has lead teams on high-profile international engagements, acted as the lead assistant to experts in arbitration proceedings under ICC, LCIA, and DIAC rules, and has been a party appointed forensic accounting expert on high profile onshore court cases in the UAE (Dubai Courts, Ruler’s Court) with a special focus on high stakes shareholder disputes in diversified family conglomerates. Ala has extensive experience writing reports in Arabic for onshore civil and criminal Courts in the UAE and providing ongoing support to legal representatives, including attending court appointed expert committee meetings.
