Shabana Saleem
Barrister and Mediator at Outer Temple Chambers
Speaker

Profile

Shabana Saleem is a UK-qualified barrister and Tenant at Outer Temple Chambers, with over 10 years’ experience advising on complex international family matters. Having practised in leading family law teams in London and Dubai, she specialises in high-value divorce, financial remedy proceedings, children disputes and nuptial agreements involving multi-jurisdictional considerations.

Shabana advises high-net-worth individuals, families, family offices and trustees on matters where legal, financial and jurisdictional issues intersect, including disputes involving family businesses, trusts, offshore structures, asset tracing and cross-border enforcement. With extensive experience advising expatriate families across the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia, she is particularly sought after for matters involving international wealth, competing jurisdictions and the enforcement of foreign judgments and orders. Her Master's on the enforcement of foreign court orders within Sharia jurisdictions, providing a unique foundation for navigating complex cross-border disputes.

Drawing on this experience, Shabana founded Family Reframed, a specialist dispute resolution practice supporting couples and families navigating separation where legal, financial and relational complexities overlap across jurisdictions. As a trained family mediator and Chair of the Family Mediation Committee at The Mediation Hub, she engages lawyers, wealth managers, and therapists to offer clients a multi-disciplinary mediation process that reduces litigation risk, and helps clients achieve lasting outcomes with clarity, confidence and discretion."
