ACTAPS is a longstanding association established in 1997 for lawyers around the world specialising in contentious trust and probate work. The Association's key aims are to promote the enhancement of specific skills, specialisation and expertise in this area of practice by the provision of education and training and to bring together specialists from onshore and offshore to share expertise.

ACTAPs is led by a committee drawn from a wide range of backgrounds and experience, co-chaired by Josh Lewison and Lucinda Brown and hosts events onshore and offshore each year. It operates an education course in conjunction with the University of Law through which aspiring members of ACTAPS can gain practical knowledge to equip them for practice. The Association also has close links to the judiciary, through which it is able to help shape and contribute to key developments in the law in this area of work.
