Profile

Sodexo has committed to reaching Net Zero by 2040 – Claire is the force for good to make that happen. She is focused on making Sodexo’s Net Zero plan a reality and is passionate (and pragmatic) about setting realistic and achievable targets to decarbonise the business. Claire is responsible for delivering impact in a collaborative and impactful way working with clients, supply partners and employees to deliver sustainable change.

Claire has spearheaded a scientific and realistic approach to Sodexo’s Net Zero and she leads the relationship with SBTi – the Science Based Target Initiative which drives ambitious climate action by enabling companies to set science-based emissions reduction targets, in line with a 1.5 degree future.

Claire is a change maker for the Stop Hunger Foundation to drive a sustainable hunger-free world. The mission is to fight against hunger and food insecurity believing that empowering women and younger generations is at the heart of a better future. Every day we drive a movement of people to respond, empower and unite communities through volunteering, our partners and the unique ecosystem of the Foundations’ founding partner, Sodexo.

Claire has a strong track record in sustainability, prior to joining Sodexo she worked for Scott Wilson, an engineering and environmental consultancy, facilitating mutually beneficial links between businesses through resource efficiency, technology and knowledge showcasing how being sustainable makes good business sense. Prior to Scott Wilson Claire was an Executive Officer of an environmental charity providing support to businesses with a particular focus on SME’s. Claire began her career in the Environment Agency as a Lead Environment Officer managing waste sites, enforcing legal compliance and undertaking pollution prevention, hazardous waste and waste minimisation audits across a range of sectors.
