Mike Geary joined Anglo American in 2013, taking on various roles across international taxation whilst partnering with operations around the globe. Mike spent time as Anglo American’s Global Tax Lead for Environmental Taxes, helping the department respond to the huge challenges of climate change and make a meaningful contribution to the organisation’s environmental ambitions. Mike now works in the company’s Climate Policy and Strategy team, with areas of responsibility including the development of credible emissions targets for the organisation, the writing of climate-related disclosures, and the effective communication and articulation of the company’s transition plan and decarbonisation pathway.
