Lemuel has a broad chancery practice spanning both contentious and non-contentious trusts, tax, probate and estates alongside general commercial chancery matters. From August to October 2023, Lemuel was seconded to the litigation team in Carey Olsen, Guernsey, where he worked on a variety of trusts, insolvency and general commercial matters. Recent experience includes acting as junior counsel (led by Jonathan Hilliard KC) in advising a beneficiary of an UHNW multi-jurisdictional trust in overseas proceedings brought by the trustee due to unprecedented geo-political circumstances, advising on trusts for minors pursuant to CPR 21.11, advising and acting in contested probate matters involving lack of capacity, undue influence and maladministration as well as working on general trust matters involving claims for breach of trust, and for removal of trustees. He is equally experienced in non-contentious trust and probate matters, dealing with the correct construction and drafting of wills, including for tax purposes.
