Louise reports directly to Abbey Capital’s Board of Directors and heads the Compliance unit. Louise is responsible for advising Abbey Capital on all regulatory matters and ensuring that Abbey Capital conducts its business in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Louise joined Abbey Capital in 2017 from an independent third party UCITS and alternative investment fund management company, where she held the position of Head of Legal & Compliance of the Irish branch.

Louise initially joined Abbey Capital in 2009. Between 2009 and 2017, Louise held various legal and compliance positions in Abbey Capital, including Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel. Louise joined Abbey Capital in 2009 from Aviva’s offshore investment business, Norwich Union International, where she held the position of Legal Manager for two years. Prior to this, Louise practiced as a barrister for five years, working mainly in the areas of contract and commercial law.

Louise graduated with a Master of Laws degree from Trinity College Dublin in 2000 and with a Barrister-at-Law degree from the King’s Inns in Ireland in 2002. Louise was called to the Bar of Ireland in 2002.
