Introducing the Women in Shipping Summit

To celebrate International Women’s Day 2019 we’re proud to announce the first ever event 100% dedicated to professional development for women in the maritime industry - the Women in Shipping Summit.

This is a professional development event for women working in shipping, on board and on shore and we want to start a conversation based on facts, not assumptions. We will also focus on practical sessions dealing with very specific, day-to-day challenges your colleagues in the industry have identified. This two-day summit will feature a line-up of some of the most impressive names in shipping, both men and women who will tell the story of their journey through the industry to inspire and empower your personal career development plans.

The Women in Shipping Summit will take place during London International Shipping Week 2019 (LISW19), 8-13 September 2019, and is officially endorsed event of LISW19.

Over the course of the two days we will have keynotes, presentations and sessions which will cover everything from opportunities for diversity, challenging unconscious bias, health, mentoring and attracting talent, and helping you find your executive voice.

We aim to present solutions to improve the status quo - so that you will leave with a set of practical advice and tools you can use to build your career in the maritime industry.
