Thomas Lazzara is an accomplished R&D professional with more than 15 years of expertise in materials science, polymer chemistry, and product development. Currently, he holds a leadership position at Meissner, where he oversees the development of new filtration products and innovative technologies for bioprocessing clients.

He received his Ph.D. from Goettingen University in collaboration with the Max Planck Institute for Polymer research. During his doctoral studies, he developed novel protein biosensing platforms and studied the biophysics of trans-membrane proteins. During his postdoctoral research at UC Berkeley, he worked on biomimetic membrane systems for gas separation.

Dr. Lazzara has a proven track record in the scientific community, co-authoring over 22 peer-reviewed publications, contributing to three book chapters, and collaborating on several white papers. His academic and professional achievements demonstrate his strong commitment to advancing the field of materials science and polymer chemistry for the biotech industry.
