Profile
David’s background is in theoretical condensed matter physics, with a PhD from the University of Illinois and postdoctoral training from Harvard and Caltech. David has been a professor of physics at the University of Pittsburgh since 2014, where his group works on the theory of quantum devices, quantum optics, and quantum computing. David joined Creyon Bio in 2021 and is currently juggling teaching with academic and industrial research. At Creyon, David is working to advance the state-of-the-art in computational chemistry and to apply the tools of quantum chemistry and machine learning to predicting properties of oligonucleotides.
