Dilhara Ranaweerasingha is an oligonucleotide process development project leader at Nitto Avecia. In her role, she leads the process development of oligonucleotide sequences for scale-up manufacturing and troubleshoots issues in both process development and manufacturing. Dilhara joined the company 7 years ago after completing her PhD and postdoctoral work at Carnegie Mellon University, where she focused on the synthesis and applications of peptides and peptide nucleic acids. While there, she primarily worked on solid-phase synthesis, purification, and characterization of peptides and peptide nucleic acids, as well as their applications in nanotechnology.
