Course Overview

The objective of this programme is to cover the management of the accounts payable function and to ensure that sufficient processes and controls are in place to make certain that the costs are only paid which are correct and valid. It also covers the interface with all parts of the organisation, including operational, procurement and finance departments, the daily controls within the department, and the reporting of costs to the relevant managers.

The course also covers the management of the department, and the accounting and audit requirements. Management of an accounts payable payroll department requires additional skills over and above other management issues, such as the confidentiality of information and relevant reporting.

    You must meet two criteria to be eligible for an Informa Connect Academy Certificate of Completion:

    • Satisfactory attendance – You must attend all sessions of the course. If you miss more than two hours of the course you will not be eligible to receive the Certificate
    • Successful completion of the course assessment – Assessment will be ongoing based on your in-class participation
