Benedikt is a Compliance Officer since July 2022 at thyssenkrupp nucera, a developer of large-scale green hydrogen and chlorine-alkali plants, where he advises, inter alia, on all competition law-related aspects within the company and its subsidiaries. Having joined thyssenkrupp in 2016, Benedikt formed initially part of thyssenkrupp’s corporate legal M&A team. In this capacity, he was dealing with all merger control matters within the group, competition law in the context of M&A transactions and coordination of multi-jurisdictional merger control filings. In 2020, he changed to thyssenkrupp’s material trading segment as a Compliance Officer for competition law with a strong focus on M&A transactions, vertical agreements and digitalization. Prior to joining thyssenkrupp, Benedikt worked for over five years as a competition lawyer in Brussels at the CMS EU Law Office.
