Claudia Berg is a partner in the Competition Group at Covington & Burling in London. Claudia has extensive experience in antitrust enforcement and litigation, merger control, and international regulatory cooperation. Claudia served for nearly 10 years as Senior Legal Director for Antitrust Enforcement at the CMA, leading complex antitrust investigations and overseeing all related litigation in the UK Courts. During her time with the CMA, Claudia had a strong focus on the technology and life sciences sectors. From 2021-2024, Claudia served as General Counsel at the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, where she headed up the ICO Legal Service, and led high-profile investigations and litigation, including in relation to children’s privacy, age assurance, and AI.
