Julia is Head of Sector at European Commission, Directorate General for Trade, Unit F.4, Technology and Security, FDI Screening. She has been working at DG TRADE in various roles related to investment policy since 2017 and she was involved in the legislative process resulting in the adoption of the current FDI Screening Regulation in 2019. In addition to handling FDI transactions notified by the Member States to the Commission, since last year, she has been engaged in the evaluation and revision of the FDI Screening Regulation. Prior to joining the Commission, she has worked within the Hungarian national administration, including as a diplomat in the Trade Section of the Hungarian Permanent Representation to the EU between 2010 and 2016.
