Maria Coppola is Director of the US Federal Trade Commission’s Office of International Affairs, where she oversees the agency’s competition, consumer protection, and privacy work. She has nearly two decades of experience with the FTC, primarily in international antitrust. She has also worked at the UK Competition and Markets Authority, the UK’s Office of Fair Trading, and the Mexican competition agency. She was the Victor Kramer fellow at Harvard Law School in 2010-2011 and an adjunct professor at Antonin Scalia Law School from 2017-2023. She holds a JD from Columbia Law School.
