Maria Coppola is Director of the US Federal Trade Commission’s Office of International Affairs, where she oversees the agency’s competition, consumer protection, and privacy work. She has nearly two decades of experience with the FTC, primarily in international antitrust. Until recently she was an adjunct professor at George Mason University Law School teaching European competition law. She has also worked at the UK Competition and Markets Authority, the UK’s Office of Fair Trading, and the Mexican competition agency. She was the Victor Kramer fellow at Harvard Law School in 2010-2011.
