Sophie is an economist with experience in developing, implementing and enforcing EU legislation in financial services and digital markets, initially in the private sector and academia and since 10 years in the European public sector. Sophie joined the DMA Taskforce of the European Commission in September 2022 and is now a Deputy Head of Unit in DG Competition’s Directorate J for Digital Platforms. She holds a M.Sc. in European Studies from Freie Universitaet Berlin and a B.Sc. in Business Administration/Finance from the University of Applied Sciences in Regensburg, Germany.
