Alexandre Au-Yong Oliveira is a Judge at the Lisbon Court of Appeal, sitting in the Section for Intellectual Property, Competition, Regulation and Supervision. He has served in the Portuguese judiciary since 1999, including at first instance in civil, criminal and intellectual property jurisdictions. Between 2016 and 2023, he was a full-time lecturer at the Portuguese National School for the Judiciary (CEJ). He is currently pursuing a PhD in Law at the University of Lisbon, where his research focuses on legal theory. He lectures on postgraduate programmes at Portuguese universities, speaks regularly at national and international conferences, and has published in several areas of law.
