Morag Bond is a General Manager in the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC)’s Merger Assessment Branch. Morag previously worked as a Mergers Director leading teams conducting merger reviews for a number of years. Morag also co-led the ACCC’s Digital Platforms Inquiry and the ACCC’s Digital Platforms Branch 2019-2022. Immediately prior to rejoining the ACCC in 2024, Morag was head of the legal and industry regulatory functions at the office of the eSafety Commissioner, Australia’s online safety regulator. Prior to joining the public service, Morag worked as a competition lawyer for ten years in Australia, NZ, UK and Europe.
