Thomas Wilson is one of the founding partners of Kirkland’s Brussels office and heads the Brussels competition team. He represents clients before the EU Commission and the German Federal Cartel Office. Thomas advises on all areas of competition law, in particular EU, German and multi-jurisdictional merger control, cartels, antitrust, State aid, compliance and EU litigation as well as on foreign direct investment matters.

Thomas regularly speaks at competition law conferences, frequently publishes on practically relevant topics and has been consistently recognized for his work by legal directories. He is ranked in Chambers and Partners’ EMEA 2025 guide, has been recognised as a “Thought Leader” in GCR’s Lexology 2020–2025 editions and as a “Recommended Lawyer” in 2025 Legal 500 EMEA, where he is described by clients as an “exceptional attorney” who provides “deep expertise in the competition field and extensive experience in coordinating merger filings across multiple jurisdictions”.
