Thomas Wilson is one of the founding partners of Kirkland’s Brussels office and heads the Brussels competition team. He represents clients before the EU Commission and the German Federal Cartel Office. Thomas advises on all areas of competition law, in particular EU, German and multi-jurisdictional merger control, cartels, antitrust, State aid, compliance and EU litigation as well as on foreign direct investment matters.

Thomas regularly speaks at competition law conferences, frequently publishes on practically relevant topics. He has been recognised as a “Thought Leader” in GCR’s Who’s Who Legal 2020–2023 editions and featured in ‘GCR 100’ (2024). According to the 2024 edition of Legal 500 EMEA, Thomas is commended by clients as an “outstanding antitrust lawyer” with “extensive knowledge in different industries”.
