A government affairs professional and an expert in Sustainable Finance regulation, Ilan leads Citi’s public policy and political engagement in the UK and Citi’s Sustainable Finance policy advocacy across the UK and the EU.

With over twenty five years experience in financial services policy and regulation, Ilan has been part of Citi’s Government Affairs team since February 2015 and was made Managing Director in December 2022. Ilan regularly writes and speaks on sustainable finance policy and regulatory developments, creating Citi’s thought leadership and representing Citi at client, trade association and policymaker events.

He is currently Co-Chair of the Corporate Sustainability Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union, and Chair of the International Regulatory Strategy Group’s (IRSG) Sustainable Finance Regulation Committee.
