Lateef Oladimeji SANNI, a Professor of Food Science and Technology, is a Project Manager, BASICS II, International Institute for Tropical Agriculture, IITA, Ibadan, Chairman, Oyo State College of Agriculture & Technology as well as a former Deputy Vice Chancellor (Development), Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Science, Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology and Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria. He has 30 years' experience in research, consultancy and collaborations as a postharvest expert on tropical root crops mostly implemented by the Natural Resources Institute, UK; Association of African Universities, Council of Agricultural Research Forum, CORAF/WECARD; and International Institute of Tropical Root Crop with over 35 Countries. He was an editorial board member of the International Journal of Food Science and Technology from 2005 to 31st July, 2015 and is currently serving as reviewer to so many international journals in the world. He won the 2008 Consultative Group of International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) Award Regional Technology Development in Sub Saharan Africa. He is the World President, International Society for Tropical Root Crops, Chairman, Steering Committee of African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD).
