Profile
Cristina is a Competition Policy Expert at the OECD in Paris. She currently leads policy research on innovation, investments and competition, contributes to the Competition Council’s recommendation on structural remedies, and manages EU-funded in-country projects. At the OECD, she has authored numerous policy studies on competition law and enforcement, with recent work focusing on digital markets, innovation, industrial policy, evidential and procedural issues, sustainability, the circular economy, and labour markets.
Prior to joining the OECD, Cristina worked at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition (DG Competition), where she was involved in enforcing competition rules in AI and digital markets. She also practiced as a competition lawyer in the private sector.
Cristina teaches competition in AI and digital markets at a Grand École in Paris and serves on the Advisory Board of the Centre for Business Law and Practice at the University of Leeds. She previously served as Editor of the Journal of European Competition Law & Practice.
She holds a PhD in EU Competition Law from the University of Padua and has completed a postgraduate course in Business Sustainability Management at the University of Cambridge.
