Julien Chasserieau is Associate Director for AI & Data Policy at DIGITALEUROPE, Europe's largest tech trade association, representing 41 national associations and 118 large companies.
He leads the association’s work on artificial intelligence and data policy, analysing EU legislation and driving advocacy campaigns for the digital industry in Brussels. Since 2019, Julien has been closely involved in shaping European AI policy, notably the EU AI Act, as well as broader issues of AI governance, standardisation and liability. He played a central role in developing the tech industry's position on AI and copyright and contributed to the drafting of the first EU code of practice on general-purpose AI, including its copyright measures.
Julien holds a MA in European Politics from the College of Europe as well as Master and Bachelor’s degrees in European and French affairs from Sciences Po Bordeaux. He also studied international relations in Sweden, at Malmö University.
