Siún O’Keeffe

Head of Strategy at Dutch Data Protection Authority

Siún O’Keeffe is Head of Strategy at the Dutch Data Protection Authority (AP) since January 2025. Prior to joining the AP, Siún spent 3 months as a specialist at the Aruba Fair Trade Authority. Previously, Siún held a variety of positions at the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets from 2013-2025, including Manager of ACM’s Academy (2018-2024). She chaired the BEREC Contact Network in 2022 and was acting manager of the Competition unit at the Legal Services Department from May 2020 to May 2021. Siún was Senior strategy advisor at the ACM from 2013-2018.

Previous positions held include: Senior international advisor and case-handler at ACM’s predecessor the NMa, Lecturer in European and Competition Law, at the University of Nijmegen, the Netherlands, and at the University of Limerick, Ireland.

Siún studied Law at University College Cork, the College of Europe, Bruges and the King’s Inns, Dublin.
