Georgina Halford-Hall - CEO and founder member of WhistleblowersUK, Director of Strategy and Policy and Secretariat to the All Party Parliamentary Group for Whistleblowing, Director of the Alternative Whistleblower Programme at the International Symposium Economic Crime Jesus College Cambridge, Author, Wife, Mother and Whistleblower. 

Georgina is a governance and compliance specialist with an HR background. Her career includes; military service, financial services, civil service and the third sector.

In 2010 Georgina blew the whistle on governance irregularities while the CEO of a small charity and her life changed completely overnight. She won her case and set about helping others who found themselves in a similar situation. It was while helping others in 2014 that she was arrested for handing documentary evidence of child abuse and was subsequently cleared of the charges on the grounds that her actions had been in the public interest. This experience led her to become a founder of WhistleblowersUK committed to the development of systems that protect those who speak out and access to justice.

WhistleblowersUK has developed a positive and proactive model which has resulted in positive outcomes for individuals and organisations. Georgina works with regulators, governments and academia and is frequently quoted in the press. Her campaigning resulted in the launch of the APPG for Whistleblowing to research the case for improved protection for whistleblowers through an Independant Office for the Whistleblower, the Bill received its first reading on 28th January 2020.

Despite her experience Georgina remains a firm believer in the importance of the rule of law and of the need to provide business with the tools to operate successfully in the global market.

Georgina is an inspirational speaker who will be sharing her experience as a business leader, HR professional, whistleblower and entrepreneur discussing the success and failure of current legislation and how important whistleblowing is to global security and prosperity.
