Daniel Simão is Head of the Bayer Pharma Satellite Lab within the Animal Cell Technology Unit at iBET. He holds a PhD in Bioengineering Systems from the MIT‑Portugal Program and has expertise spanning advanced human cell models, gene therapy vectors, and antibody discovery and characterization. He coordinates a team contributing to industry‑driven R&D projects in biologics, supporting antibody selection, expression platform development, and assay development. His academic research focuses on immune–tissue crosstalk in cardiovascular disease using human iPSC‑derived models.
