Brian J. Smith is a partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and a member of the firm’s global Antitrust and Competition group. He represents clients in government investigations, internal reviews, and civil litigation with extensive experience engaging with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, the Federal Trade Commission, and state attorneys general. His work covers a broad range of competition issues, including no-poach and no-hire agreements, price-fixing, bid-rigging, market and customer allocation, monopolization, and other alleged violations.

Brian has played a leading role in high-profile no-poach investigations and related litigation, and frequently counsels clients on compliance strategies to address hiring restrictions and other labor market risks. He also advises on the development and implementation of antitrust compliance programs, including training and audit protocols for multinational corporations.
