For over a quarter-century, Jeff Newton has drafted and negotiated thousands of complex technology-centric agreements for Hewlett-Packard Company, Agilent Technologies, Avago Technologies, Broadcom, and now Seagate Technology. He focuses a substantial part of his practice on strategic, international transactions, and intellectual-property, anti-trust, ethics, and compliance matters. Jeff is also Seagate’s regional compliance officer for the Americas. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree and is a Certified Management Accountant and a Certified Professional in Supply Management. Jeff also recently completed an LLM in International Business Transactions at the University of Denver. Jeff has published peer-reviewed articles on optimizing the role of in-house counsel, exclusive licensing of patents, and contractually protecting trade secrets. He loves to exercise; learn about any topic; and speak, read, and write Spanish.
