Jennifer Dixton is a lecturer in law and teaches Antitrust Law and Antitrust and Intellectual Property. She holds teaching appointments at University of California Los Angeles, Loyola University Chicago School of Law, and has taught at Loyola Marymount Law School. In addition, Ms. Dixton is affiliated faculty with UCLA’s Institute for Technology Law & Policy and regularly contributes to ITLP’s programming. She is also on the Advisory Board for the Institute for Consumer Antitrust Studies at Loyola University Chicago School of Law.

Ms. Dixton is a frequent speaker on antitrust and intellectual property, technology, and standards development. Ms. Dixton served as an antitrust enforcer for over 20 years at the United States Department of Justice, Antitrust Division. She is a former Assistant Chief in the Competition Policy & Advocacy Section and Special Counsel for Policy & Intellectual Property. During her long career in government service, Ms. Dixton worked on a variety of civil and criminal antitrust investigations and policy and appellate matters. Her work has focused on the intersection of antitrust law and intellectual property rights, standards development, artificial intelligence and other technology, as well as antitrust compliance. In addition, Ms. Dixton served as a government representative in the American National Standards Institute. During her time in government service, Ms. Dixton was awarded the Assistant Attorney General’s Honorary Award for her work on the COVID-19 Antitrust Advising Team (2021), and the Assistant Attorney General’s Award of Distinction (2012) and the Internal Revenue Service Excellence Award (2014) for her work on the Antitrust Division’s municipal bond investigation.

Ms. Dixton has held numerous leadership positions in the American Bar Association Antitrust Section, contributed to publications including the ABA’s Antitrust Compliance handbook, Perspectives and Resources For Corporate Counselors, and has co-published articles in the Competition Policy International Antitrust Chronical, among other publications. She also has been quoted by several news outlets including Politico, ABC News Radio, and Variety Magazine.

Ms. Dixton received her LL.M. from the George Washington University Law School in 2004 (intellectual property), her J.D. (magna cum laude) from the Catholic University Columbus School of Law in 2000, and her B.A. in Political Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1997 (cum laude).
