Prior to joining the faculty at Iowa, Professor Sullivan served as an attorney for the Federal Trade Commission, where his practice focused on mergers in technology and commodity-chemical spaces. Professor Sullivan's scholarship concerns market definition, potential competition, and merger analysis--in each area seeking greater convergence between antitrust law and modern industrial organization economics.
