Greg joined Sabre as VP and Associate General Counsel for Global Regulatory and Government Affairs, and Chief Data Privacy Officer, in October 2023 and is focused on all aspects of competition laws and regulations affecting Sabre. He also leads the Global Government Affairs team (US and Europe) and oversees the Global Privacy team and Sabre DPO. Greg began his legal career in 1986 as a litigator with the Winstead firm in Dallas Texas. Greg joined the legal department at American Airlines (then a client) in 1993. At American, he focused on regulatory and antitrust litigation matters, including travel agent commissions class actions, CRS regulation, and alleged monopolization viz LCC’s at the DFW hub. He also led a multi-year effort to obtain antitrust immunity and regulatory clearances for the AA/BA transatlantic alliance. From 2003 to 2023, Greg was an Assistant General Counsel in Microsoft’s Competition Law Group, where he focused on the competition laws and enforcement globally governing single firm conduct, joint ventures, merger review, the Internet, and online platforms, enterprise network software, online services such as search and search advertising, and AI. And he was responsible for Microsoft’s M&A regulatory matters, including merger clearances worldwide for more than 25 major mergers, including acquisitions of GitHub, LinkedIn, Nokia Devices & Services, Skype, and Yahoo! Search.
