James J. Fredricks
Chief, Washington Criminal II at U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division


James Fredricks is the Chief of the Washington Criminal II Section of the Antitrust Division, U.S. Department of Justice, where he manages all aspects of the investigation and prosecution of regional, national, and international cartel and related criminal offenses. Prior to taking the helm at Criminal II, Mr. Fredricks was Assistant Chief of the Division’s Appellate Section, where he oversaw all criminal and civil appeals in antitrust matters before the federal appellate courts. He has also served as a trial attorney in the Division’s Appellate and National Criminal Enforcement Sections, a senior counsel for criminal enforcement, and a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in Alexandria, Virginia.

Before joining the Justice Department, he clerked for the Honorable R. Lanier Anderson on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
