Ruediger Schuett is Lead Counsel, Global Competition Law & Compliance at LyondellBasell Industries, where he is responsible for all antitrust and competition law matters globally that affect the company, including merger control proceedings related to M&A projects. Prior to joining LyondellBasell, Ruediger worked at the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, where he was a trial attorney in the Telecom & Media Section and International Counsel in the International Section. During that time he worked on cases such as Comcast/Time Warner Cable and AT&T/Time Warner. Prior to that, Ruediger was in private practice at WilmerHale, where he was part of the firm’s Antitrust & Regulatory group and worked in the firm’s offices in Washington, DC and Berlin, Germany.
