Profile

Malinda Lee is a Supervising Deputy Attorney General with the Healthcare Rights and Access Section’s Health Facilities Unit in the California Attorney General’s Office. In this role, she leads the team that reviews nonprofit health facility transactions statewide and enforces compliance with Attorney General conditions issued on transactions. Prior to serving in this role, she served in the Section’s Competition Unit, which enforces California’s antitrust and unfair competition law as well as federal antitrust law in healthcare and pharmaceutical markets. She has investigated and litigated matters involving healthcare providers, insurers, drug manufacturers, and pharmaceutical benefit managers. Ms. Lee has also served in the Antitrust Section and in the Civil Division of the California Attorney General’s Office. She is the current Vice Chair of the Executive Committee of the Antitrust and Consumer Protection Section of the California Lawyers Association. Ms. Lee obtained her law degree from UCLA School of Law as a fellow in the David J. Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy.
