Mathis has served as both a testifying expert and lead consulting expert on numerous antitrust and consumer protection cases. He focuses on helping clients evaluate the merits of claims, quantify damages and civil penalties, and address class action issues in disputes involving monopolization, price fixing, and exclusionary practices such as noncompete agreements. He applies his expertise across a broad range of industries, including technology, media, entertainment and sports, education, insurance, life sciences, and healthcare.
Before joining Bates White, Mathis was a faculty member at Boston College, where he taught microeconomics and labor economics courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
