Steve Lavender is Associate General Counsel, Competition and Compliance at Smurfit Westrock, a leading paper and packaging company. He previously practiced antitrust law at Axinn, where he represented clients on M&A transactions, government investigations, and civil litigations. Steve was also a staff attorney at the Federal Trade Commission in the Mergers I shop. Before starting his law career, Steve was in the U.S. Navy.

Steve received his J.D., cum laude, from George Mason University and a degree in economics from Northwestern University.
