Architecting The Quantum-Safe Transition
4 Days - Deep Technical, Hands-On Training
Course Overview
The Strategic Imperative
Quantum computing is no longer theoretical risk planning. The “Harvest Now, Decrypt Later” threat model is already active — adversaries are collecting encrypted data today in anticipation of tomorrow’s quantum capability.
At the same time, the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) has set a clear expectation: government and critical infrastructure entities must establish a Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) transition plan by 2026.
The challenge?
- Where cryptography is embedded across their stack
- What will break when algorithms are replaced
- How much compute and bandwidth PQC actually consumes
- How to transition without disrupting production systems
Architecting the Quantum-Safe Transition is a technically rigorous, hands-on masterclass designed to solve exactly that. Led by internationally recognised cryptography expert Ruben Gonzalez, this course provides a practical engineering roadmap to move from legacy crypto dependency to hybrid and post-quantum-ready architectures — without breaking your PKI, products, or compliance posture.
This is not policy.
This is implementation.
Who Should Attend
This course is designed strictly for technical professionals responsible for cryptographic architecture, system security, andlong-term resilience:
- Security Architects & Cryptographers
- Cloud Security Engineers & AppSec Leads
- Infrastructure & Platform Engineers
- PKI Engineers
- Engineering Managers delivering PQC transition plans
- Critical Infrastructure Security Teams (Banking, Energy, Telco, Mining, Government)
What You Will Be Able To
By the end of this intensive training, you will be able to:
- Build a Cryptographic Bill of Materials (CBOM)
Identify and map your organisation’s real cryptographic dependencies — including hidden and legacy implementations. - Deploy NIST-Standardised PQC Algorithms
Understand and implement FIPS 203, 204, and 205 (ML-KEM, ML-DSA, SLH-DSA), evaluating performance, memory, and bandwidth tradeoffs in live systems. - Design Hybrid Cryptographic Environments
Safely combine classical and post-quantum algorithms to maintain operational continuity during phased migration. - Integrate PQC Into Real Protocols
Upgrade TLS, certificates, key exchange mechanisms, and PKI environments without causing production instability. - Plan a Realistic Migration Timeline
Estimate CPU, memory, and network overhead — and translate technical impact into defensible budget projections. - Avoid Critical Implementation Failures
Learn the most common PQC deployment mistakes and how to prevent catastrophic security regressions.
