Profile
Dr. Michael Paulin is an experienced engineer in onshore and offshore engineering with projects completed on the East Coast of Canada, in Alaska, the Canadian Arctic, Greenland, the Gulf of Mexico, the Russian Arctic and Sakhalin Island. His 30 years of experience includes conceptual, preliminary and detailed offshore structure and marine pipeline design, project management, and industry driven research & development. Mike is currently carrying out conceptual studies for major oil & gas producers with regards to Arctic and cold region facilities as well as offshore engineering for more traditional environments. He has been involved in preliminary through detailed offshore pipeline design and installation for the Sakhalin 1 Project and BP Exploration’s (Alaska) Northstar Development which was the world’s first subsea arctic production pipeline. In 2001, Mike was the co-recipient of the Hart’s E&P Special Meritorious Award for Engineering Innovation for the BP Alaska Northstar Subsea Pipeline. Mike has also led WorleyParsons global cold regions subsector for a number of years.
