Leo Joyce is the Director of Analytical Development at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, where he leads analytical strategy and method development efforts in support of siRNA-based therapeutics. Since joining Arrowhead in 2019, Dr. Joyce has played a pivotal role in advancing analytical methodologies for oligonucleotide characterization, beginning with hands-on method development in the laboratory. He started his industry career at Merck, focusing on stereochemical analysis techniques for small molecule drug candidates. Dr. Joyce earned his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin in 2012 and has authored more than 45 scientific publications spanning analytical chemistry, structural elucidation, and drug development.
