Alexander Vinogradov, PhDProject Assistant Professor at The University of TokyoSpeaker
Profile
Alexander Vinogradov obtained his M.Sc. at Lomonosov Moscow State University specializing in synthetic organic chemistry. After moving to Boston in 2012, he worked for Prof. Bradley Pentelute during his PhD studies, which focused on the development of new peptide synthesis methods and high-throughput screening strategies. In 2017, Alex joined Prof. Hiroaki Suga at the University of Tokyo as a postdoctoral researcher. Since 2019, he has been appointed as an assistant professor in the same laboratory. His research interests revolve around developing innovative methods for de novo discovery of natural product-like macrocyclic peptides for drug discovery applications. His research combines the study of natural product biosynthesis with non-canonical uses of the mRNA display technology.
