Profile

Mitsuaki Sekiguchi earned his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science from Osaka University in 2005 under the guidance of Prof. Takeshi Imanishi. Beginning his professional journey in the pharmaceutical industry, he joined SHIONOGI and focused on medicinal chemistry for mid-size pharmaceuticals. Transitioning to nucleic acid-based therapeutics in 2011, he has been devoted to discovery research, SAR chemistry, and process technology development. He was promoted to the position of principal scientist in 2018.
