Syunsuke Yamamoto is the Associate Director of the division of Center of Excellence for Drug Metabolism, Pharmacokinetics and Modeling, Preclinical and Translational Sciences, Research at Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited. He graduated from Nagoya City University in 2009 and joined Takeda. He has consistently engaged in DMPK research such as prediction of transdermal/nasal drug absorption, PET tracer development, and brain delivery of oligonucleotides. He has been a council of the Japanese Society for the Study of Xenobiotics (JSSX) since 2019. He received the JSSX Award for Young Scientists with Dedication to Drug Discovery in 2021. He successfully held the 37th annual meeting of JSSX in Yokohama, Japan as the executive committee chair. He has been developed multimodal quantification method to evaluate pharmacokinetic analysis of antisense oligonucleotides.
