Yuji Nishiuchi, Ph.D.

Yuji Nishiuchi received his Ph.D. in chemistry from the Faculty of Science, Osaka University in 1986. He then worked as a postdoctoral fellow with Prof. Murray Goodman at the University of California, San Diego from 1987 to 1989, and worked with Prof. Shumpei Sakakibara at the Peptide Institute, Inc. (Osaka, Japan) until 2015. During this period, he was a professor at the Graduate School of Science, Osaka University from 2007 to 2015, and moved to GlyTech, Inc. (Kyoto, Japan) in 2015. He has been deeply involved in the development of peptide synthesis methodologies and the chemical synthesis of large peptides or proteins.
