Hugo is a senior advocate of more than 24 years standing with expertise in commercial and regulatory litigation. Hugo’s practice focuses on the full range of corporate, commercial, financial services and regulatory matters. He has a particular expertise in the work of the DIFC’s new Digital Economy Court.

Hugo has represented and acted for public and private entities (including banks, funds and investment managers) across a broad spectrum of commercial disputes and regulated activity. He has significant experience in multi-jurisdiction regulatory investigations and litigation, in appellate cases, and in supervisory and enforcement matters. Hugo has appeared as an advocate in disputes before London’s Commercial Court, the Technology and Construction Court, the Upper Tribunal Tax and Chancery Chamber, and the Administrative Court (King’s Bench Division of the High Court).
