Profile

I am a partner in Grant Thornton’s Insolvency and Asset Recovery practice and a licensed insolvency practitioner. I specialise in global asset tracing, recovery and enforcement, where I use insolvency and civil procedures as powerful tools to recover hidden and misappropriated assets to maximise financial recoveries for stakeholders.

I am recognised as a leading asset recovery specialist and my clients say “he finds creative, innovative solutions to problems” and “he is an expert in complex asset recovery matters”. I have extensive experience in developing and executing recovery strategies globally, particularly in the Middle East, India, UK, Cayman, BVI, Singapore, Hong Kong, US and Europe.

I also recognise the need for flexibility in structuring fees for asset recovery and insolvency assignments, and the sensitivities faced when engaging recovery experts. As such, I operate under transparent flexible fee structures and can risk share with clients and in doing so align interests.

I am also routinely engaged by financial institutions, corporates and hedge funds to manage and drive the recovery of their non-performing loan books, and have built a team that “dominates the non-performing loan enforcement market”.

As a member of INSOL International’s MENA Advisory Council, I contribute to driving the development of insolvency and asset recovery specialism in the Middle East. I have also worked closely with Grant Thornton’s Indian practice to grow and develop their asset recovery and insolvency business in light of legislative changes in India. My and my team’s expertise in the Middle Eastern and Indian market has led to directories noting Grant Thornton having “serious expertise in the Middle East and India” when it comes to asset recovery and insolvency.
