Shahab Haider is the Managing Partner of the Sajjad Haider Group, one of the oldest Audit and Advisory firms in the UAE. Shahab is an experienced corporate restructuring and insolvency practitioner, with over 30 years of experience in the UAE and significant cross-border expertise. He is an Official Liquidator registered with both the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). Additionally, Shahab is on the approved list of financial restructuring and bankruptcy experts recognized by the UAE’s Financial Restructuring Committee.

Shahab was appointed as Liquidator by the DIFC Courts in the first known compulsory winding-up proceedings in the DIFC. He also served as Joint Liquidator for a private equity fund that successfully raised USD 1 billion across multiple asset classes. Most recently, Shahab acted as liquidator for a prominent logistics company founded in the UAE, which had a presence in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Egypt, and was once valued at USD 300 million.

In addition to his liquidator roles, Shahab has served as a fraud and forensics expert in a series of high-profile investigations, including a landmark multi-jurisdictional case that identified misappropriation of funds and ultra-vires activities, with findings upheld by the UK High Court.

Shahab has advised clients across a diverse range of industries, including listed utility providers, banks, real estate firms, financial service providers, and construction companies, both within the UAE and internationally. He is regularly invited to share his expertise on panels focused on turnaround, insolvency, and liquidation, and has established precedents in significant cases across all jurisdictions within the UAE.
